Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Book (Spoiler Free) Review.

It's finally here, one more trip to Hogwarts courtesy of J.K.Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne.

This year the release of another Harry Potter adventure has been the talk of the fandom, more so than it's prequel movie Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them. This new installment however is co written in the format of a new play, already sold out until late 2017, this new change in format has been hard for some fans to get around, as it's in two parts which in themselves could of potentially been two books or films.

Set nineteen years after the last book, the story takes place during Albus Potter's time at Hogwarts.  Albus must struggle with the weight of his father’s legacy. Part one is centered mostly around Albus and his best friend Scorpius where most of the adventure lays, until Harry's past collides with the two boys and they take it upon themselves to right a wrong from previous Potter books. Part one ends on a good cliff hanger, however the beginning of part two is more of a show stopping heart string puller with the appearance of some much loved characters. The final act itself delivers a good action packed battle against a new enemy which ties back to other Potter books again and closes this chapter rather well.

Now as I said before, this could of potentially been two other books. It does skip through ahead at times, which you hate as you want to read more about Albus and the new time line of characters, especially when fan favourites are missing. However, if you've loved the previous Harry Potter books you'll have no trouble adding this installment to your collection. It makes you feel the exact same as when you first read the Philosopher's Stone. It's worth the money and a beautiful hard cover to add to your collection.
